Orange You Glad It's Summer? FREE PRINTABLES

I worked like crazy last week helping my mom get her last week of school done. She teaches 3rd grade--and I tell ya, wow. I could never do that. WAY too hard! All you teachers impress me, big time!

She had some lovely helpers through the year and wanted to give them something fun as a Thank You gift, and that it right up my alley, so I volunteered to help. :) We browsed Pinterest and this is one of the ideas we edited for us. (I'll share the others with you in the next couple of weeks! :))

Seriously, guys, so easy. Anything orange you can find....stick it in an orange container. Done.

This would be a great gift for ANYONE. boys or girls. and you can adapts the tag too.
Orange you glad you graduated....Orange you glad it's your birthday...Orange you glad we broke up...
Okay, maybe not the last one, but still...

We got:
-Orbit Gum : $.074
-Orange Notepad: $1.00
-Gold Fish Crackers $0.45
-Orange Tic Tacs: $1.00
-Crush Soda: $0.60
-Orange Bowl: $0.25
-Total: about $4.04 + a whole lotta cuteness that you can't buy

All was found at the grocery store and the dollar store. Like the cute orange bowl--$1 for 4 at the Dollar Store--whaaaa!? yeah, so simple.  Then, I printed these tags on the 2 x 4 sticky printable tags you can get at any supply store and stuck them on the back of an {orange} paint chip,
cut around it and tied it to the front. easy cheesy orange squeezy.

Lucky you, you get the Printable of the Tag FREE! 8 tags fit on a page...
To print:
-Click on the link

-Download from Google Drive
-Save to your computer or flash drive
-Print online or at a copy store like Kinkos

Have fun!!

NEW Inked Chevrons Collection

I'm really excited about this! I've been working really hard to bring you this NEW Stamped Chevrons Collection to the Etsy shop.

It is really special to me. It started out as a small idea when I wanted to create something that would be special and unique and really help women feel empowered and loved.

The idea has grown so much and I just love what it has become. I have kept it completely secret...and only recently shown some vague sneak peeks on Instagram (@egbertkeisha). But it is officially live and as a thank you to my loyal blog and facebook fans, if you order a necklace, you get the matching print FREE! :) Love ya. :)

Let me tell you about this collection.

Each necklace is one of a kind. I will never made a duplicate. Not only are they uniquely hand stamped, but I will never put the same charm together with the same word(s), so you know you are getting a truly unique necklace that is JUST YOURS.

Each word, or words, come from a special place in my heart. This is not something that I just came up with to try to make money. This is something this is purely to try to spread love and hope. My heart was so full one night of the love that God has for his daughters and I wanted all of us to have daily reminders of that.

That's why each necklace comes with a little 2 x 3 inch card with a short story or quote written by me of the reasoning behind that necklace and why that particular woman is sacred and special. For example, the "Grow Courage Woman" is incredible because she was not born with courage, she must spend hours in her garden cultivating her courage if she wants to keep it--but in the end, it is so worth it because her courage is so brilliantly beautiful.

So every time you wear the necklace--close to your heart--you are reminded of the love you are surrounded with, or lifted up with courage, or wrapped up in warm arms of grace.

I also let out so much love through my illustrations and I wanted them to be a part of this journey and collection, too, so I made a matching print (or 2 or 3) to go along with each necklace. You can buy the prints together or separately, but I think they tie up the thought of love nicely.

I will be releasing about 5 or so new necklaces and prints each month and spotlighting them here on the blog! But head over right now because 5 just went LIVE! and remember: now until June 13th you can get the matching print for FREE when you order the necklace. :)

Thank you guys so much for always supporting me in Inked Chevrons. It is truly my passion! Love you all!

10 Years of Cheese

Guys. The 90's. For real. I've been catching up on all the T.V. shows I missed when they were actually on T.V. (Thank goodness for Netflix)...

Buffy, Charmed, Friends...how great are these?

Not to mention: Boy Meets World, Full House, Fresh Prince, The Amanda Show,
Sabrina the Teenage Witch...oh good times, good times.

I'd even settle for the fashion if we could bring back the cheese of 90's television.

My Girl Amy and also I Love Photoshop

Last week, my friend Amy came over and we had a little Photo Shoot for a project she is working on...I can't wait for you to see it! While she was there I asked if she would pretty please be featured in my #secretproject aka my Magazine Project. I'm doing a spread on women and things they love about themselves, because I think it is so important to remember to love yourself and to not be shy about telling people the things you love about you!

She graciously agreed. :) I met Amy in Junior High and we stayed friends through High School. She is such a FUN girl. She always has a great story for me. :) We lost touch a bit when we both went to college and then we recently realized through Facebook and Instagram the we still have a TON in common. It was SO great to get together with her again, take pictures, craft, and catch up on life. :)

It was a rainy, dark cloud day, so I wasn't sure how the pictures would turn out,
but you guys: Photoshop is ah-maze-ing!

I added the before picture so you can see the magic. Amy looks gorgeous in both, but so much brighter and warmer in the after. :)  What a babe!

whoop! One step closer to #ampersandmagazine coming to life!

My Friday Adventure

This weekend I decided to make the trek up to Logan to see my cute sister and help her move back home for the summer. She just finished her 2nd year at Utah State and made it into the Didactic (dietetics) program! I'm so proud of her! She's grown so much already and is the sweetest girl you will ever meet!
We packed up the cars, had lunch at (my favorite place) Pita Pit, and then played a little lost and found to (my other favorite place) Zeppe's for some delish Gelata. YUM!

Then, since I was so close, I HAD to go over and visit my darling Ashley and Lucy! Just look at these chubby-toes painted PINK! Oh my gosh! So adorable! She's grown up so much since I last saw her! I wish I could just take her home with me! :) It was so good to chat with Ashley and catch up! We will be friends for life! She is so good to me and always gives me such great advice! Love you, boo.

THEN, I of course had to go to Tremonton to see my girl, Naomi who was GRADUATING the next day! (i had to work, :(....) Man, I love this girl! She totally understands me so much! Most of our conversations go:
"I don't know how to explain it...but it's like...well--you understand, right?" "I'm the same way! I get it!"
She is the bomb dot com, guys, fo real. And she makes me feel so good about myself. I never feel dumb or bad around her, she has such a kind heart and I swear we were best friends in heaven too. :) And she had the sweetest gift waiting for me when I got there! She just KNOWS that gift giving is my love language. To know someone thought of you enough to put a present together for you is, to me, a huge deal. And Naomi gets that. and I love her so much!  I got to see a tour of her darling house too! She has made it look so darling and I'm so happy she has a place to call her own!

What a fun and exhausting Friday! :) SO worth it. I'm so lucky to have so many TRUE friends in my life who love me for me. Sometimes you just need reassurance that you are loved so that you can keep going in life--and I'm so grateful to everyone in my life that help me feel so blessed and loved!

Kyle and Kessa

I sure love my sister. She is beautiful, kind, smart...
and I love her boyfriend, too. This kid is the sweetest guy you'll meet and is so good to Kessa.
He's on an  LDS Mission in Taiwan right now {he'll be home in October!}
and I can't wait for him to get back!

This darling picture is from a trip to Oregon Kess took with Kyle's family before he left and
one night when I was missing him I decided to illustrate it. Love them!
