You get collages earlier this week because I'm finishing Smash Books faster than I can blog about them!

Watercolor Canvases
I've been loving to go down to the Art Studio and relax with my watercolors and a canvas.
I don't know how to describe it, but there's just an overwhelming peace that comes to me when I'm painting that I've never felt before. It's incredible, especially since not long ago anything to do with art gave me an anxiety attack. It just goes to show that with practice {lots of practice} you can find hidden talents or turn weaknesses into strengths. I used to think that if my art wasn't perfect, then I shouldn't show it, but I've realized that art is about making mistakes. Creating, designing, and then accepting the flaws. Life is like that too, I think. No one is perfect, but if we accept ourselves for the imperfect-always trying-people we are, then amazing things can happen.
I was going to explain to you my thought process for each of these, but the other thing I love about art is that it can be interpreted many different ways, depending on the observer and I don't want to taint that.
So, onlooker: observe, interpret, and enjoy.
{If you really want to know my thoughts, comment and I will let you know. :)}

Welcome to my Art Studio
I've been needing a space for a long time dedicated to being creative. My room is just way too small.
So I decided to turn an unfinished room in the basement into my very own Art Studio.
It's messy and make-shift>but I love it!
a place for my past smash books
a cozy rug cause it cold down there!
COLORS
Being able to take time out of my day to paint, sketch, create is so great. It slows me down, calms me down, and gives me an outlet so I don't hold everything inside.
It's my little corner {that i share with my sister :)} and I love it!
