Cakes!

Our ward had a cake and service auction last night as a fund raiser for girls camp. Mom is the Assistant Camp Director, so to ease some of her stress I volunteered to help. Kessa and Sadie had to each make a cake. They have been so busy with school and softball, so I volunteered to make their cakes. Not sure if I realized how much I had signed up for. . .but it gave me a chance to try out some Pinterest recipes!

I also wrote the cake description's for the MC to read, so people would bid.

Rainbow Cloud Cake: Have you ever wondered what a cloud tastes like?  The winner of this rainbow cloud cake won't have to wonder anymore! This two-layer lemon cake, smothered in cheesecake frosting, sprinkled with flaky coconut and fruity skittles will leave you craving more!  Who cares what's at the END of the rainbow? You've got the actual rainbow!  Topped with re-usable rainbow decor, this cake is sure to brighten up any rainy day! Bid on it, Eat it, Taste the Rainbow!

Popcorn "Cake": Picture This. Start with popcorn, slathered in rich butter. Add crunchy pretzels and chocolate-y m&ms. Next, mix in creamy, sticky marshmallow sauce. Yum!  This popcorn "cake" take guilty pleasures to the next level. Grab warm blanket, your favorite movie and cuddle up with a few slices of this delicious treat. Who knew happiness came in the form of crunchy chocolate marshmallow popcorn?
